Wall Candy!

A little wipe board that I made to hang by the door to the garage...it's meant to help the kids remember their stuff each day before school, but unless it learns to shout "Look at me before you leave"...it'll take some getting used to!!!
I used the 'Typeset' paper line (X7139B) for the topper and a 'zip strip' from one of the sheet of paper, along the left border.
The banner is made from the 'Milepost Shapes' (Z1464).  I brushed the triangles with a mix of Vineyard Berry re-inker & 'Create-A-Shade Pearl Paint' (Z1039). Other accessories include the Mini Medley  Accents' in black (Z1393), wooden buttons, and black hemp (Z282).
Stamped images are from the Typeset Workshop-on-the-Go stamp set, using 'Desert Sand' ink and second generation technique.  Stamping those images was an after thought, but i am glad I did it b/c it helps hide the little bits of marker that don't get wiped away completely!

Happy New Year!

I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday season and are looking forward to the New Year as much as I am!  Close To My Heart is definately starting the New Year out with a BANG!  There is so much going on that I don't even know where to begin....

January 2012 Constant Campaign is a 'Perfect 10!'

I have to say that I was skeptical of Studio J, at first...not about the program itself, b/c it is truly 'Top Notch', but skeptical about how much I'd use it in my day to day scrapbooking.  Well, I hammered out a bunch of layouts, for my sister, as a Christmas present and I am a skeptic no more!  I loved how quickly I completed the layouts, even adding my own color schemes and embellishment clusters.  They were shipped directly to her house...page protectors included!
If you haven't tried Studio J...give it a whirl...you won't be disappointed.  Go with the 3 month subscription...its a shorter committment in case you don't LOVE it.  But, once you get started...you'll be wishing that you signed up for the whole year!

Take advantage of the 'Rock The Block' promotion - during the month of January only!

Spend $25 during the month of January and you can add the 'Rock The Block' set for just $15 more.  I received the My Creations Collage Cubes last month and they are cute, cute, CUTE!!!  Plus the E-size stamp set is AWESOME!  Lots of great images that I can see myself using again and again.
Note: For those of you that aren't familiar with the E-size stamp...it is on an 8 1/2 x 11 carrier sheet...in comparison to the SOTM stamps that are on a 6x6 carrier sheet.

January Stamp Of The Month (SOTM) - 'Little Reminder'

'Little Reminder' is yours for just $5 when you spend a minimum of $50 during the month of January.

Spring Summer Idea Books are IN!  I feel like I say this every time a new Idea Book is launched....but, WOWZA!  I am lovin' all the new products...check out the new paperlines:

'Stella' - this picture does NOT do the paperline justice!  It's gorgeous w/ a mix of Cocoa, Olive, Lagoon and Sunset.

'Pemberley'probably my favorite of the new lines...

'Lucy'

'Victory'

This new Varsity Alphabet (E1023) stamp, is used in both examples.

'Footloose'perfect for those summer beach pictures! Wait until you see the 'Seaside Wooden Shapes' (Z1693)
